Food education that goes beyond the textbook.

Students are surrounded by nutrition information. But knowing what is accurate, what is marketing and what is relevant to them is not always easy.

Our incursions connect curriculum content with the food decisions teenagers are already making. These are possible focus areas, not five separate sessions. Your 60-minute incursion is tailored to your year level and curriculum priorities.

Who we are

Dietitians. Educators. Real talk.

Alex Parker and Anna Morgan are Accredited Practising Dietitians and co-founders of The Biting Truth. Between them they have spent over two decades working in nutrition, including more than ten years each in the high school space.

Both have their own complicated histories with food. They know firsthand what it feels like to grow up navigating confusing messages about eating, bodies, and what "healthy" is supposed to look like. Our school sessions are, in many ways, the education they wish someone had delivered to them at school.

They are also both mothers to daughters. That is not background detail. It is the reason this work matters to them the way it does.

Every incursion is delivered by an Accredited Practising Dietitian from our team.

Which year levels is it suitable for?

Years 9 to 12. We adapt the content and examples to the year level and the unit your students are working through.

How much does an incursion cost?

Pricing depends on your location, the number of sessions and the size of your groups. Send us an enquiry and we will reply with a quote that fits your school.

Can the session be tailored to our unit?

Yes. Tell us your year group, curriculum focus and preferred timing, and we will shape the session around what your students are covering.

Where do you deliver?

In person across NSW, Victoria and Queensland, subject to location and availability. If you are outside a major centre, ask us and we will let you know what is possible.
